The combat can be as tactical as you want it to be, you know have trap rivets and mini turrets to allow for a tactical advantage as well as the spear gun which acts a little like a sniper rifle to stealth kill if that's your thing.
Unfortunately like in the first game you have Vita-chambers allowing you to melee something til you die, respawn, then repeat til the thing your attacking is dead. Evolving the combat is possible due to the plasmids available to you and the different enemies you'll face, i definetly took time to think things out first but for the most part you'll either have splicers running at you with varying melee weapons or shooting you with tommy guns. The Brutes and the Alpha series Big Daddy's definetly demand a thought out approach.
