What I'd like to see in 2014 is a goal referee. FIFA had been talking about it for YEARS. The goal ref would keep his eyes solely on the goals and have the final say in which goals are legitimate and which are not. I think it would greatly help out the poor officiating issues.

Oh well, to the next four years. XD I must say, though, Paul the octopus is intriguing! I love octopuses! Especially when they're cooked on the barbeque.... and slathered in olive oil... and vinegar... *drool*

Man korea got horrible refs last world cup and this year. 2006 in the Switz game........... let's not talk about that or my blood pressure will rise. and this year against Uruguay.... there was this one foul where the guy clearly stepped on Ki seung Ryung's foot but he didn't call it and it was a penalty............ stupid refs. Goal refs, well I don't care bout them but more refs would be a good idea.

Heh, this is a bit off-topic, but in school we did our own "World Cup" soccer championship thing. I was on Spain, who came in 1st for real. However, our Spain?: Came in last. We won 1 out of 5 games too.^^'

My friend who was in Spain during the World Cup actually got one of those blow-horn things. She said everybody had flags with that prediction octopus up and when Spain won everybody who was in the traffic line she was in stopped, got out of their cars, and starting screaming, cheering and crying.
