So guys, we have around 46 hours left until we hit 2010. So, what are everybodyâs most/least favourite games released during the year, high and low points of the year, changes throughout the year. Anything. Shoot!
Good Things:
~ Getting back into gaming! After breaking my DS early 2008, I went near enough the whole year without playing any sort of gaming console (I suppose I go through phases) However, I had a DS for my birthday Jan 2009 which re-ignited the gamer inside xD. I played it every now and then, but then played it more often in May, when I first started the night shifts. Since then its picked up, and now Iâm the proud owner of an Xbox, and I strive to obtain a PSP in the new year, and maybe even a PS3 later on. Iâve re-played the whole kingdom hearts series, and completed the new 358/2 Days game, and very much look forward to Birth by Sleep!!! ^,^
~ Becoming closer with my best mate again. Me n Beck have always been best mates, but over the last year or two weâd sort of gone our own ways (again) Weâll always be there for each other, but its nice to see her more often than before. I suppose as we get older we are finding our âown paths in lifeâ, but Iâm glad weâre not getting too old, too quick! Plus she brings out the fan girl in me, and well, she doesnât make me feel like Iâm the only one who belongs in a straight jacket!
~ Joining this forum (Iâm not sucking up, honestly! ;p) I forgot how fun forums are, especially when the people on them are so friendly & cool. I love talking about my fave things with other people who feel the same way! I also love meeting new people, even if it is just over the internet, but its brill ^,^
~ My new car!!! Even though I waited over 13 weeks for it, its so nice to drive around in a brand new car, and not worry about MOT or any parts failing on me (at least they
shouldn't!)
~ As hollow as this may sound, quitting as a voluntary member of St. John Ambulance. I was a member for 16 years, but never had any experience. Plus after getting involved with the paperwork/running side of it, it was a relief when I resigned due to work/time commitments and the simple fact I didnât feel confident enough to fulfil my role as an efficient first aider. Ok, I knew my stuff, and I still do, but putting it into practice, well, lets just say Shambles!
~ London Experiences. The first time I went to London was 18th Dec last year. I went with some family for my grandmaâs birthday, we went to see Joseph xD. Since then, Iâve been another 3 times (once alone Iâll add) and another trip booked for my birthday in 10 days

I just love it there!
Bad Things:
~ Well I suppose the biggest downfall of the year would be the breakdown in friendship between me n my mate Dan. We were pretty close, done something almost every day, even if it was go for a drive for half hour, or go to Cardiff for a night out and stay overnight. But he found himself some new friends and we just drifted apart. Guys eh, always changing ;p
Blessings in disguise:
~ Night shifts in work! Its not all amazing or all bad, but looking past the buggered sleeping pattern and unsocial life when you are working, its nice to have 4 days off a week from work, and be able to chill when in work. We do get the occasional mad night shift, but its nice to work in the unit when its quiet, apart from all the snoring! ;p
~ Another work related blessing in disguise! Something happened in work regarding another member of staff complaining about me. Iâd done nothing wrong, but as a precaution I was put under a âmentorâ so that this person couldnât say anything more. From that experience, Iâve learnt to not trust people so easily, and to be careful about what I say in front of others. Though I still occasionally muck up :/
Things to look forward to in 2010:
~ Obviously the games coming out/announced that have been discussed in other threads xD Also to buying a PSP and playing Crisis Core, Dissadia & Little Big Planet
~ Obviously again, my 3 week holiday to America. Iâm doing it alone, in an attempt to increase my confidence! Iâm really looking forward to going, Iâve only ever been to Prague & France, so America/Canada should really be an eye opener for me!
~ Hopefully, Iâll attend a convention of some sort! Iâve always wanted to go to one! Iâd love to cosplay, but highly doubt I would, though Iâd love to take some really cool photographs of cosplayers ^,^ *Cough*Hint, Hint!*Cough*
