Generally gamers don't want their favorite games to be made into movies, and this is because movies based off games have history of consistently sucking xD. But, what I am asking you is what games do you think would actually make good movies? and if so, directed by who?

Feel free to include info like what actors/actresses you think could pull of certain characters.

Well, It would have to be a game with a shorter story that other games.. or it would have to be a complete side story like Advent Children.
One game which would work as a movie I think would be Uncharted.
Uncharted is pretty much the pinnacle of cinematic experiences for a gaming title.
It has a great cast, cool story and awesome set pieces that hollywood could have a great time with.
However, anything less than perfection would be a massive pimple on the face of the Uncharted franchise.

Resident Evil could be good, if it was done right and didn't have that crappy Alice story, did i mention how crap it is?

Left4Dead might be a good one too

Metal Gear! I think if it was done right it would be massive, but it'd be hard to do so I'd say Hideo Kojima as Director/Producer would be a must, and David Hayter would need to play Snake (those of you who saw him at the start of MGS 4 will know he doesn't look too different, and who else could pull off that voice?). Hmmm, other characters. Any ideas?

I think a Kingdom Hearts based film would be sooooooo awesome. You'd have to cut out the final fantasy characters probably to make it have just the wider appeal of pure disney but it would be worth it and it would work soooo well.

A backwater boy, chosen by destiny, going out and saving worlds and preventing the evil heartless from consuming all that is light. Throw in a load of disney characters past and present and you've got yourself a quality disney film that could be as successfull as any other Disney.

Really, I can't think of a single game which could fall right into being a film as easily as KH could.

Oh no, you couldn't totally disney-fy it!! I'd love to see it made into a movie, but it would have to be cgi. People & cartoons do not mix well, unless it was like Enchanted!

It would be a crime to cut FF peeps out of the movie!
