Police in the US tasered a wheelchair bound, unarmed, legless amputee... Twice!

• The man was pulled from his wheelchair hitting his head
• had his shoulder broken by the police officer
• tasered twice (once in the wheelchair, and again when he was on the ground... he can't run away.. or even stand up once out of the wheelchair ffs...)
• was arrested with his pants (trousers) and underwear pulled down in full view of the public (including his 2 year old daughter)
• Held for 6 days in a cell... then released without charge.
  

Is this what the US police are like? Power mad idiots?

Yeah, they are pretty much idiots, I didn't really like them before but this just makes it worse. Not all cops are like that, but alot of them do very stupid things, but this is ridiculous.

Yeah, they are. Most cops aren't all that bad, but there are a few who are just plain idiots. They think they can get away with anything just because they're the law. Yanno, "It's not illegal if the cops do it."

That has to be one of the worst police acts in history that i've heard of, don't get me wrong i'm sure it was a couple of officers misusing their 'powers' and most of the officers are actually doing things by the book but what stuck out for me was when the guy 'ranting' at the start mentioned that if you know the constitution and know your rights then the police force won't hire you.
I can believe that, we have a few dodgy coppers in my town too, i mean Chavs in the police force?
I don't know how people turn towards violence and illegal acts but things do seem to be getting worse

That's disgusting. I know its one paricualar case, but you'd think the forces over there would employ people who will not abuse their power? Thinks such as this seem to happen way to often in the US... :/

poor guy...i hope someone tasers the cops but knowing the law they'll get away with it. Cops waste their time on stupid small things instead of tackling things that actually matter.
