Near the end, Yoshino talks of there being an expansion of gameplay through DLC. It wouldn't extend the story but instead would give players more to do like dungeons and new monsters.

Oh dear god I hope there is another "Hunter Club" like there was in FF XII, had so much fun with that. Also midway through he relates the environment much to FF7 with the greens of Midgar and colors of the world outside. Also aiming for 3 discs for the 360 release.

God this thing is gonna top charts when it is released.

Didn't they say that they'd rather release the game in its entirety than dishing out DLC after its release?

In any case, as long as any potential DLC doesn't affect the story in any way I think it should be fine. But it would also be ridiculous to have to pay for DLC that should've been in the game in the first place...like the Hunter Club you mentioned, if previous FF's had such content on the final game it would just be silly to have to pay for it now :\

I think with the fact they are developing FFXIV as well as FFXIII then there won't be any extensive DLC for the game, just themes and crap like that. I think that FFXIV will be the mainstay of any DLC in the near future from Square Enix

I can't think of a Square game that has DLC, so I presume that none of us will know. They might pull what NIS or Compile Hearts pulled with Cross Edge and release free dungeons. Since they say it will not be content that aids the story like Valkyria Chronicles additions, this might be free stuff.

Anyone know of a Square game with DLC?

Just dear god I hope they don't hand out weapons like Compile Hearts / NIS did.

That is a thin line to walk because it is an MMO, World of Warcraft have made new dungeons, new armor sets a standard that has to get updated with newer and better stuff. Yes it is DLC, but at the same time it just needs to happen or else people will get bored of the game and subscriptions will go down.
