Halo:Combat Evolved was my favorite; it always kept me interested and playing for hours. Halo 2 and 3 were still good, and I love them as well, but I just prefer Halo:Combat Evolved. My friend and I were playing Co-op just recently, and we were going to go through all 3 games, so we started with the first and we finished, but as soon as we got to the second one we couldn't sit through it...so we decided to play Halo 3, but we couldn't sit through that one either. It's just, once I played through it once...it just didn't seem to have replay value, it got boring, but Halo:Combat Evolved was interesting and exciting enough to allow me to play through it multiple times and NOT be bored.

The thing I didn't like about the first Halo game was that you couldn't pick up the Energy Sword; it would just shatter, however I had seen my friends play Halo 2 and 3 before I even played the first Halo game. So I knew that you could get it, I just didn't know that you couldn't get it in the first one. I know, I know...I didn't start playing Halo until AFTER Halo 3 came out, BLASPHEMY! right? lol not really, I didn't have the money for an XBOX and my parents didn't like buying me video games/consoles. But hey, I bought Halo 2 when I was just PLANNING on buying my 360, and then bought Halo:Combat Evolved when I got my 360; so I played them in order, and loved them =)

Anyway, point being, I thought Halo:Combat Evolved was the best out of all three games; though Halo 3 did have quite the epic ending =P
