It was not hard to guess, that FFIV will be an online game because there were lots of rumors around it and the "Rapture" Project. It was such a blast for me. I didn't quite realize that that guy really announced FFIV. Few minutes after the trailer it was like: wait a sec... he said FFIV, didn't he? O_o

In the trailer you can see all FFXI rases (AND even male Mithras ), I also recognizes jobs like Dragoon, Thief, Dark Knight, White Mage, Black Mage and Corsair (not quite sure bout this one). I'm really excited about game play, story and charakter developement.

Well you can upgrade that if you really want to, plus I can't believe that that many people have a 20GB HDD as that was the on they stopped most quickly. I mean, 40, 60, 80 and 160 will easily suffice for FF XIV.

I really don't care for this. I was like, "WTF" when they showed the trailer, and my WTFness meter went up when I found out it was online. D: I don't like MMOs at all D:

I don't really know that many people that have a 20GB ps3, plus the hard drives are upgradable. Anyone with a 20GB ps3 will probably not be interested in an MMO anyways. If they port this to Xbox (which square stated they are looking into) people can buy hard drives for the 360. But 360s now have either no hard drive, 60gb, or 120gb. So anyone who owns a ps3 shouldn't have a problem with it. My old 360 had a 20gb hd and it took up 10gigs with all expansions plus the game. Plus PS3 owners will have a multitude of mmo choices in the near future.

I should have stated it more, but that was aimed at Xbox 360's, of which most either have no HD or the 20 GB (really 13 GB) one.

ive played FFXI and loved it. had a real sense of FF, a story was there, the jobs and classes, the difficulty. i am really looking forward to this, a perfected version of FFXI is all it is and i couldnt be happier. ill definitely be getting this.

I see your point shawn however if someone wanted to play it they got options. If this was ps3 only I don't think it do as well. If you don't have a HD with your 360 for shame.

I think it would do just fine. How many people actually play FFXI on their Xbox 360s, or even PS2 for that matter.

The only people who really play on their consoles are from Japan, where the Xbox 360 has a tiny market share. Most other people played FFXI on their PC and this can easily be shown by how many people used plug-ins.

Im super excited for this game. I recently played FFXI for the first time and loved it. Its not like regular MMOs like WoW or all those other korean free-bees. Its actually got a really good story-line (most important) and decent gameplay. The only difference is, you can play with your friends and keep on playing for years.
I think FF fans need to AT LEAST give it a go first before slating the FF MMO's (I used to) it was remarkably addictive and really fun.
