Anyone actually watch the whole conference?
I have to admit i was bored out of my mind about halfway through but there were a few pick me ups along the way. Along with a speech by James Cameron and translating fun with soccer star Pele, we were treated to some glimpses of some new and worthwhile titles:
-Red Steel 2

-Ruse

-Rabbids Go Home

-Assassin's Creed 2
[Image: AC2.jpg]

-Your Shape (another fitness game for Wii, with added peripheral/camera)
-Academy of Champions
-Splinter Cell:Conviction
All in all the conference was ok with a few other subjects like the 'imagine' line up of software and of course a 15 minute telling of Avatar with no actual game footage, still what do you guys and gals think?

In the start I wanted to either A. fall asleep or B. Punch James Cameron in the face. It got dull. The other dull thing is that soccer game from a soccer player who I never heard of (I guess because I don't watch the sport) and that one actor who apparently made Ryan Seacrest jokes every other time he talked about another game. 3 good points, Red Steel 2 looks good and hopefully will take advantage of the Wii Motion Plus, Splinter Cell, which I'm not a fan of but it looks fun to play, and a trailer for Assassin's Creed 2. A dull show with a few good points.

No, Rubes. You can't play "Pokémon Snap" on PlayStation. You can play "Ape Escape,"

Hmmm i'd have to say that i've seen enough of these fitness videos for Wii, and with an extra camera? can't they just leave it alone lol i don't want to buy more peripherals but Ubisoft did have a point with fitness games being more dominant than their other titles/genres in the last 12 months. But i didnt like that 'imagine' stuff, but then again im not a girl who likes to design clothes and look after a virtual dog while doing aerobics. Oh well Tongue

Disappointed to hear that Jade wasn't there. Sad

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to check out the Ubisoft conference, was busy sending post cards. Tongue We'll get to check all this stuff out at the booth anyway though, and we will be posting impressions on all the stuff.

Well James Cameron is easily one of, if not the most talented filmmaker out there today and I've been high up in following the development of Avatar. It is truly going to be the most epic thing we've ever seen.
When I heard about the game at first a while back I was very very skeptical because well...as he said it "games derived from movies historically you know some of them have kind of sucked" as well as Ubisoft's titles as of late. But oh my word after hearing what he had to say about the game not only am I impressed, but tomorrow I'm running out to find a job so I can upgrade to a kickass home entertainment system (to attach to the PC of course) just for the Avatar game.

You guys HAVE to play the demo at the Ubi booth tomorrow!

All i remember hearing from James Cameron was that the game is in 3-D and that Ubisoft are amazing and then the whole plot to Avatar, i won't knock the game in any way cos i havn't seen it. Im just saying i'm not impressed, they could've shown something, even a trailer

Just to clear up, the beginning half of my post was speaking of the film Avatar not the game. But when James Cameron says or promises something, you aren't disappointed because he always follows through. He's one of the few people in the entertainment business that don't fool around, he does things right and he does things well. I'm sure the different aspects that make the game great will be true come release date.

Kyle and I will try to give it a go - as it turns out we've got a slot with Ubisoft tomorrow Wink

I'm curious about RUSE, i really like the look of it but i could see it being expensive if it actually uses that table lol, there would have to be several scenarios too. I wish i was there to see it Tongue
