I'm pretty much the same online as I am in everyday life. The only real difference between Tidon and the real me is that I'm a little more grown up about things. Just a little though. Smile

I would say I'm exactly the same online and offline, but that would be a lie. There are two things (at least) that you just can't emulate online that you can in real life:

Volume (sure, you can all-caps things and stuff but that more makes you look like an idiot than a loud person)
Presence (sure, again, you can take everything a person says and construct a type of presence, an online presence from them, but there is no physicality. A person has presence as soon as they walk into a room without any words. Not the same with forums)

Other than that though I'm pretty similar. I can be loud, but not in an obnoxious everyone-look-at-me way, just unintentionally loud voice. But my actions are similar, I'll happily participate in anything without invite, I can make geeky, mildly geeky and not geeky at all conversation easily and I can come off as way too direct both online and offline. I think those are my main attributes anyway.

I think I used to be much different online, back when I was a HUGE fanboy. That's lessened over time on forums, though.

Generally speaking, I'm pretty much the same online and offline. What I type online are the same as what I think offline. The only difference is how I express myself, I suppose. Some of the things that I type I don't say in real life. For example, there's a side of me that hates seeing people feeling down, so I cheer people up as much as possible. That's online, though. I don't in real life, much, mostly because modern society is judgmental, and what I think is right for the kids are "uncool." >>

Pretty much the same off and on, other than that I love to go all technical offline and more of a joyous person on.
