I have started my challenge, and the first thing that went through my mind is regret for ever starting this challenge. I am completely out of my element here, as it is a long way away from my party of a warrior, red mage, white mage, and black mage. I can only take solace in the fact that I will eventually get the Masamune to give to one of my mages, BUT THAT WON'T EVEN BE UNTIL THE END OF THE GAME. Thus far, I have found myself twice dying while traveling in between Cornelia and Matoya's cave. It is annoying me simply because I know by the time my first mage dies (both times it was Yuna) I was doomed. I am disallowing my self from doing memo saves, or using guides on this challenge (I know the game well enough, lets just hope I don't find myself panicking because I forgot where to find the Rosetta stone again like I did today on another file.)
Due to the fact that I am having problems with the site, I am now gonna just drop the whole thing from that stand point, But I will still update my movements weekly on my blog, and as often as possible here.

Lets just hope I finish this, seeing my track record with playing games while putting my progress online for others to track (Perhaps Darryl might remember the whole FF7 fiasco) not to mention I'm already hating the whole challenge in general (maybe I should have went with easy mode, or the easy GBA version T_T )

::EDIT:: If anyone is still paying attention to this, My current location is Elfhime just before heading out to get the crown, and I am still hating it.

Hey Zero, glad to hear you are sticking with it. My challenge is going well. Since I only use 1 white mage for mine, I can cast blink on him 2 or 3 times then just chip away until the enemies all die. I also exploit the area by Provoka, and I fight enemies much stronger in order to speed level. The only things that rape me are the winter wolves.

Personally, I am refusing to use any tricks I know that would lessen the workload myself. First off, I am not using either areas in the game for easier leveling (that would be the provaka peninsula of power, and the little spot in the earth cave that throws you into battles with random sets of Lizards and Hills Gigas with every step). Nor am I playing the slider puzzle here for quick, easy gil.

::EDIT:: I am still at elfhime, and I am working on leveling/stocking my characters.

::EDIT2:: I thought I would mention that Angel seems to be the strongest, but then again, that's because He's in the back, thus he dies less.

::EDIT3:: Still in Elfhime, but getting ready to brave the perils of marsh cave, just gotta get a few more spells for my mages. and considering they are all just about lvl 8, that should not be too much of a problem

::EDIT4:: by next week, i should have the crown!

::EDIT5:: no crown, but more experience...

Dang. You must be really bored, but I do love crazy-hard runs through games. Keep at it.

Yea, the past few weeks were rather dull for me.
Thankfully, I finally this week got the crown (been playing all week long). Sunday evening (my time of corse) I should put in my official time, and hopefully have enough experience to take on Astos.
I had actually made 3 attempts at the crown. Failed miserable on the first attempt, Aquired the crown on the second attempt, but wound up dieing before i could even get out of Marsh Cave (was down to Cara and Angel, the wound up getting paralyzed, and killed.) But on the third attempt, Once again it was only Cara and Angel, but i managed to get back to town to save. Quite exciting really.

::EDIT:: I will soon beat Astos by next update

::EDIT2:: Ok, I lied Sad But I'm almost sure I will this time!!!

::EDIT3:: Defeated Astos, crushed the vampire, gonna make Lich my...... err... you get the idea (I hope LOL)

::EDIT4:: Lich is dead, Pushover actually. I knew that if I were to face Lich, it would be easy. Now I think I'm gonna get my airship.

aw crud, thats like the worst thing to happen on these things man. I know that my file on the PS1 tried to corrupt on me at one point, Thankfully, Sometimes the system will let you just save over corrupted files.

::EDIT:: I seem to have missed last weeks update on the forums, My mind was not on it that week.... Basically, I'm taking it slow, and leveling up. My next stop is Ice Cave to pick up the float stone.

::EDIT2:: Assuming anyone still cares about my current progress in this, and maybe even realize I haven't updated this in a while, I am currently trying to get the floater stone from the ice caves, but not even making it to the boss because of Piscodeamons and Mindflayers..... yea....
