Sonic built in to the Sega Megadrive! My first real gaming experience!

Had to go with 2, can't help it. Sonic 2 was the first video game I ever owned. I can't even begin to explain the impact that game had on me. I still play it to this very day with my brother in-law.

Sonic 3 & Knux was always my fave (i especially liked how you could connect any game to Sonic & Knuckles and get a hidden bonus game) I did though enjoy the many secrets hidden in Sonic 2 (the hidden palace zone)

I've never even seen a Sega console let alone played one but I had Sonic 1,2,3 and Sonic 3 and Knuckles all emulated. I have finished all of them but my fav is Sonic 3 because everything is so great in it from the boss battles to the level layout and the traumatising elevator in the Circus level Act 2 I think (don't quote me on that). I think I've memorised the first two Acts at least. Also my experience getting the Chaos Emeralds might of been more easier than most people because the emulator I used allowed me to Save and Load literally whenever I wanted.

Currently Watching: The Superman Blu-ray collection

My favorite of the series has always been Sonic & Knuckles. Although it's technically part of Sonic 3 & Knuckles, the latter part of the game felt like a more superior part of the whole (minus the game save function but I usually am good enough where I don't really need it every playthrough now). The soundtrack was superb (the Doomsday and Sky Sanctuary Zone themes being some of my favorite compositions in the series and gaming in general), the level design, while much like Sonic 3, felt more impressive; and the ability to play as Knuckles also gets points from me. And to add: the boss battles in Sonic & Knuckles felt more epic (especially in the final zones).
