A pretty simple concept really.

What was the last film/movie you saw, where did you see it, and what were your thoughts on it?

Can we make this thread as the last film that you saw? I haven't been to the cinema in ages, because even with a student card, it's a bloody rip-off. >_>

Thus, last film I saw at the cinema was probably Casino Royale.

Last film I saw though was 27 Dresses. That honestly totally sucked...

Was that the film with Katherine Heigl? If so, they spammed trailers for that on Living TV every 5 seconds and it looked awful.

Yes. It was awful.

Even more awful than you could ever expect of a film like that.

In other news, I still haven't seen Iron Man. Sad

Last film I watched was Spirited Away pretty surreal but none the less a good watch. I don't tend to go to the Cinema at all anymore. The one I watched recently as well though Alexander was terrible, I mean it had some ok action in the battle scenes and the story is fairly in depth. It's just they drone on and on for hours I think it was 3 hours long and by the end of it you're slightly lost.

Watch too many movies though, think we've got like 10 to watch recorded off TV still just trying to find the time to watch them.

^ I keep meaning to watch Spirited Away, you might've just bumped it to the top of my "to watch" list by mentioning it here. Smile

I watched two films yesterday, Mr Deeds & The Da Vinci Code (I figure they equal each other out). Firstly I was amazes at how much French I still know (I watched without subtitles) and secondly, it makes me want to play Broken Sword again.

`It's definitely worth the watch I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I'm a bit iffy with subtitled movies in certain languages anyway I can watch a japanese or chinese films really comfortably but with european films I feel sorta more like I should be trying to follow what they are saying rather than reading it all the time if that makes sense... I suppose because quite a few words are similar to ours in some respects.

As for broken sword I only ever owned the 2nd title I might have to play that again it's conjuring up fond memories.

I don't mind subtitles at all, and in fact I prefer all anime I watch to have the original voice cast and subtitles, rather than a re-dubbed American cast or so... I think I just like the aesthetic a lot better.

And I'm a complete Broken Sword fangirl! You really should get the first one (The Shadow of the Templars... Templars being the link to The Da Vinci Code)... Such a classic. People disagree on how good the third and fourth ones are, but I still love them all to bits. ^_^

Akira has to be one of the best anime films of its time without a doubt.

Oh i think spirited away is in both japanese and english voice overs but the english ones seem pretty spot on at least I didn't notice it unlike certain other anime, I suppose thats because it was an actual cinema release in the western world.

I might have to check out the other broken sword games at some point. They might put the first on on the psn one day.
