That's the main reason I think this will happen at some point. Maybe the remake will be the last of the compilation, as a send-off! On next-gen consoles... *dreamy* ...although we all know how SE can be with deadlines.

crisis core bothered me more than i enjoyed it. it was fun but the whole time i was playing it i kept thinking why am i playing a game that i know how it ends.

advent children was cool but just an unnecessary money grab. however I recently watched kyles copy of advent children complete and that was much better than the original, they shoulda done it that way to begin with instead of wasting my time and money.

i feel bad for raggin on ff7 in a final fantasy forum but i think they shoulda just let it die...

I think its a good idea b/c my littel brother is starting to like final fantasy more and more so i told him to play VII but he could not stand the way it looks so i would like to see it remade for that reson and heack i would play the hell out of it

It would be kinda cool if they ended all things final fantasy with a remake of the biggest classic of all FF History!

As for wanting a remake, i do! Sometimes i play it, and the graphics are just so terrible, i wish they'd do a remake just for that fact. But bear in mind, if they do remake it, they're definatly bound to change some of the story, because otherwise, everyone knows whats to come...

If they did remake it, I'd like to see them make Yuffie & Vincent a definate member of the team, cause in the original they were optional characters, so anyone who played it and didnt know about them, were probably like wtf when they were in AC/CC & DoC. I doubt this happened in many cases... Just shame on you if you never found them!

Hate to say it, but that isn't official at all.

"With the current technical specifications, it would be very difficult. But someone will do it"

Noone has even started on it yet, its always been a back thought. But even the opening segment for the PS3, that little demo. Took like 3 months, the FFXIII team was not complete until that technical demo was done.

^^ - Was in another interview I read. Forgot where now. But if it took that long to create that little bit from scratch, they have a whole lot more ahead of them.

I'm a little worried that if they do a remake, they could destroy what was so good about the original game on the PS1, It would be interesting to see it graphically touched up but I'm just not sure if it will have the same charm..

To have the same charm, for starters there would have to be no voice overs.

I just have voices tuned to every character. For some reason S-E would just feel wrong by adding voice. But I think they can make the game have the same charm really easily by just taking out that factor.

i think a remake would be great for those who hvae never gotten a chance to play ff7 at all. the dont sell the orig. anymore, and if you dont have a credit card, you cant buy these (or any of the other old games) of ebay or even the psn.

i vaguely remember reading somewhere that the origenl ff7 team would like to make a remake, but dont have the time/resources to do so...

but, then again, the character designer for ff7 (nomu ^^) said he was leaving ff for kh once the ff13 series was done (correct me if im wrong). so, i could be wrong about that....
