Honestly, after having played most of the games in the FF7 franchise, I say no to a remake. Honestly, what more could they want to accomplish other than just milking more money from the loyal fans? They've already told the story. There's really nothing else to say. And, you know what, making a remake might even ruin the series for some fans. If they saw it one way while they were playing it, and imagined voices and other thing, then having those things provided for them would make the game a totally different experience. Personally, I wouldn't want that.

I agree, what more could Square Enix be looking for out of this? I was happy with Crisis Core. I just think it's a waste of time for another remake to happen

Introducing snobby younger kids that can't stand the older graphics to the game?
Putting it on a current console (Sure PSN is doing that, but it's not the same as releasing the game properly)?

I would love to know that my kids one day could get the same level of enjoyment out of FFVII as I did, without grimacing at the graphics and mechanics (possibly).

There are valid reasons to remake it.
But I personally think that it's too soon.

Give it another 10 years at least.

Ehm...no...I don't see why we would feel bad, we'd probably just demand another remake, that's what us rabid fanboy/girls do, lol.

For one thing, Kitase already said that if they do go ahead with the remake, he will only do it if he had the original team from the original FFVII. There's no reason to fear that it would be as bad as X-2 (honestly I didn't think that X-2 was such a bad game in terms of gameplay).

However I do still stand by what I said earlier in this thread, their focus shouldn't be on an FFVII remake at all right now. Let them focus on vsXIII and KH3, I'm anticipating those games far more than I am for a remake.

I did say previously in reply to something Omen said, about Square Enix possibly finishing the FF series with a ffvii remake, releasing on the 20th anniversary, which is in 7 years. That would be cool!

(Ok i know, I've been saying i want one now, but thats impossible, i know that, i'm kidding around ^,^)
