Dissidia 012 Reveal: Gilgamesh Gets Dynamic Entry

Rumours of Gilgamesh being included in Dissidia 012's roster spread like wildfire after character art of him was ripped from the Prologus demo and the most recent trailer that featured a rather prominent line.

Thanks to some promotional posters in Japan, Gilgamesh has been all but officially confirmed by Square Enix themselves. The posters shows the sword master executing his EX Burst, take a look.

Personally, I think his face is much too squished. Also, I think that his EX Burst mechanics seem hard to manipulate. He chooses a sword AT RANDOM! This can radically affect the flow of the battle! There must be something Square had in mind to control these factors one way or another. Maybe it's the accessories. Or maybe it's dependent on his Luck stat. And, this may seem mean to some Gilgamesh-lovers... but I don't really like Gilgamesh. In fact, I thought he was offensive. For one thing, Gilgamesh was a Sumerian king from legend, and Enkidu, I believe was his advisor, or some oracle-type person. For another, as a Hindu, I sort of take it kind of offensively that he possesses mighty weapons in multiple arms. Don't get me wrong, Gilgamesh is cool and all, but... more than half the Hindu gods/goddesses possess several arms. They all possess a weapon of some kind. Primarily Durga. Durga has ten arms with every type of weapon imaginable. This is why I thought Gilgamesh from FFIX and FFVI were crossdressers. I mean absolutely NO OFFENSE to Square Enix, Gilgamesh fans, or anyone else. This is my opinion.

Gilgamesh had the two battles in FFXII I was really hyping for. Died quite a few times, but loved the fun and musical theme! Yet he won't convince me to buy any game with "Dissidia" on it .....
