Depends on the integrity.

I mean, changing priority just to jump on something that is going to be more (financially) successful, doesn't mean that it's actually going to good in terms of an actual game. (I believe that's what Razgriz is getting at)

Well, if I'm thinking correctly, the game has actually been in development until 2009. Obviously until now, Deep Silver didn't think it was anything special, but given the extra attention surrounding it, it could hurt their reputation if it turns out to be crap.
