This might sound like a rather silly question, but do you actually care about the console war any more?

It's become a bit strange really. When the PS3 was clearly behind in sales, the Xbox 360 had all of the games and was making all of the noise, the console war was at its peak. However, now that it's turned around, it seems to have died down a bit. Sure there are still some rumblings, but now they're on a level playing field (sales wise) and the quality of exclusive games has shifted in Sony's favour, nobody seems to care as much.

Perhaps players have just learned to get along?... I mean.. It's really just a case of choosing your poison. Are you more for the Live Community? Which exclusives do you think you're more inclined to buy? and so on.

When I had an XBox 360... I didn't want to buy anything. There weren't really many games that I liked or was interested in. Whereas, the PS3 had more to offer that I enjoyed (i.e. the uncharted series, final fantasy,..) Also, I never felt like it was worth it to buy a subscription to live as I hardly ever used it. With the PS3 it's free so it's just like a little bonus for me.

I've been with the playstation for a good long while and have developed a connection to many of its past franchises.. but.. that's just me. ^^""

Also the bluRay player is a plus :-P

I think that the console war was just blown up too much. Each console has its pros and cons. There's no point in trying to compare them in my opinion. They are three (Yes, Wii is included) different gaming experiences. Just pick your poison.

I never really got into the war. I like both systems and see the advantages of each. I only got a 360 because I got a deal on it. (now I need a PS3...) I hope the war is over, it always annoyed me.

I didn't really care about the console war in the first place, like razgriz says, each have thier pros and cons. i own the old xbox and the 360, and the ps2 and ps3. i love both. people need to forget the war!

A little competition is good, but when it gets violent, it can get out of hand. That's all I can say about this, or any 'war', regardless of medium. Although, I do catch myself quipping at the Wii from time to time, still.

For me, it's not the console so much as the games that come out.

I do not have a Wii, though I am seriously contemplating getting one due to the fact that I would still like to beat Super Mario Brothers. lol Seriously, I never did! Now, I know there are a few 'Super Mario' stuff out there - I'm talking about the one from the late 80s, early 90s. Same with Legend of Zelda.

Since I'm a finicky player, and mostly interested in RPGs, puzzles and a very rare few shooter and/or fighter games, I find the PS3 is fine; and, the PSP as well. I have yet to come across a title that I want to have that is strictly on the Xbox 360.

I hope it remains that way, 'cause I have enough stuff as it is! It's bad enough I probably will someday get that Wii!

So, the console war, for me, is not the issue so much as the games and the 'exclusivity' of those games, which I find to be stupid. I wish they just would release all the games for all consoles. Of course, that will probably never happen, though I don't see how it couldn't boost sales for all console companies and all companies that develop and produce video games.
