I'm not sure if this post belongs here or in General Discussion, but I felt it really needed to be said.

Thank you, Gaming Union, for having ethics. While you do occasionally editorialize a little too much in your articles for my tastes, most of the time you report the facts without insulting my intelligence by talking about how a game is awesome just because of the guns or the boobs or whatever.

Thank you, Gaming Union, for not being a hot bed of misogyny. I love that women have roles on this site as moderators, writers, and podcasts hosts. I love that whenever a game has female characters, they're discussed on their own merits and not simply in terms of their cup size or how little clothing they're wearing.

Thank you, Gaming Union, for not endorsing homophobia. You have no idea how much this means to me. Yes, the Final Fantasy girly men theme is addressed from time to time, and it amuses me, but I so appreciate that they aren't referred to as "homos" and other such slurs.

Thank you, Gaming Union, for not being racist. I think that goes without saying.

I'm not going to say what spurred me to create this thread, because I don't want to turn this into a thread complaining about other video game sites, but I will say I appreciate the overall sense of professionalism and acceptance that this site and it readers/writers/contributors offer.

I would say "you're welcome" but I think that these are standards which all media should be upholding in today's world (no matter who is the dominate consumer of any niche), so instead I'll just say, hopefully on behalf of all the staff but certainly from myself, is that I am SO glad that you're enjoying the site and that you feel like you're benefiting from all the hard work that has been put into the site and forums.

This place wouldn't be what it was without our fantastic community, so really I feel like I should be thanking all you guys for your ongoing support and awesome feedback.

Never been on 4chan but I do appreciate the atmoshpere of the site. It's friendly, fun, kinda like a big family. I also like how a lot of the news applies to games I'm interested in, rather than focusing on one genre or the really obscure games.
