Edit: Yes, I can definitely see how this updated the core software. When I updated it, the video quality dropped to a ridiculously low quality. I'm talking sub-standard definition. When the update completed, it went back to normal.

Yeah. I just grabbed this update today. Then I got my ass handed to me on Uncharted, then I turned off my PS3 and flicked it off, and started playing my PSP instead. :3

Aw poor hackers... you got to start for scratch don't ya? Tough. Pay for your freaking games. I know some don't do that and use hacks for some cool stuff, but your still opening up the door for people to pirate games.

No security firewall is impenetrable. Always a backdoor.

That said, I'm glad that Sony is taking measure against these hackers. Kinda interesting this only happening on the PS3.

Hackers must still have some way because Modern Warfare still has hacks. Admittedly, I've played 20+ games and I've only come across two hack lobbies (both of which were infinite ammo) and they were fun but there's still hackers out there.
