When was it said that the American release of the TotA anime will be sub-only? I asked Bandai several months ago if it would be dubbed, and they said it would be, if I'm not mistaken. They also said it would only be on DVD. (Sorry, ignore this. I hadn't seen this page until now. ^^')

Anywho, awesome news. ^^ Hopefully, this will lead to an announcement of a Vesperia PS3 localization soon enough.

As for understanding what's going on without ToV Game knowledge, I feel the movie is a stand alone title. Not in need of the game to understand things. It's a solid movie and had a scene that got me teary eyed. However it will leave you wandering where disc two is. As it leads right into the game, some may feel like the story hits a wall. But again, great movie still.

As for spoilers, no. The movie covers the past of Yuri Flynn and Repede. Watching it won't really spoil anything but the fact of the characters knowing each other. Which doesn't change anything. If I could go back to before playing/watching either, I would watch the movie first. I would have enjoyed knowing the back story beforehand. It shines alot of light on their relationships. And gives you more of a feel of the world and what's going on in it.
