I love my FF game on the DS, but I simply hate the Wii.
So, I certainly don't want a FF game on that system.

And, I should probably wait for E3 to get more info on the Project Café, but it looks like it won't be a regular controller again...

Sometimes, innovation is just not for the best.
I want to play my FF game with a regular controller in my hands.

I wouldn't care, so long as it's not on microsoft consoles.

At this point they should just put it on all consoles.

It hopped from Nintendo to Playstationn, and honestly both consoles have the right to say that Final Fantasy has a home there.

But I do strongly believe that if it's going on those two, then they might as well throw it on Xbox as well. There's no point trying to make a political statement or whatever.

I understand that people are concerned by development times, but really, it should be an exclusive or on all of them (so long as the supporting consoles are of similar quality).

Has anyone stopped to think about what FF13 would be like with motion controls? Or how about that "FF7 Remake" everybody wants?

Motion controls wouldn't even work well with Kingdom Hearts, much less a true Final Fantasy game. I know it isn't confirmed what sort of control mechanism Project Cafe will sport, but you gotta believe motion will be a big part of it. They really can't move away from it at this point.

I think the last thing anybody here wants is waggle shoehorned into their Final Fantasy. Am I wrong?

Only talk I've seen so far about project cafe's controls has been a standard controller with a touch screen. I think it's safe to say they can and probably will take a step back from the motion stuff. It was "feasible" when it was the only motion console on the market. Now that everyone has it, it would be foolish to make it a focal point now. Sure, they'll have motion based games but I think from now on, it's safe to say it will be delivered via something similar to PS3 MOVE. Console comes with a standard controller, then when you buy a Cafe' Motion game, you buy a motion controller to use for it.

This means that you'll see more cross non motion based games ported to Cafe, making it a more viable hardcore gaming console.

Yes, but.... I don't know, I guess it's just "we'll see" when it comes to Project Cafe. I just fear that they will force some sort of motion-control something into it.

I agree. I reckon the success of the Wii has cornered nintendo into the casual gamer market. Hardcore gamers have all abandoned nintendo and it'll be hard to sway them back when lets face it, the ps3 and 360 have that market cornered. Nintendo's motion controlled gaming is what they are now known for and is the source of their recent success- no company would abandon the one thing still making them a competitive force in the gaming industry

I'd have to go with the All or one concept. If Nintendo has finally got it in there head that they need to keep up with PS3 and Xbox power wise before trying to stand out with their spacial features; then an exclusive Final Fantasy game sounds good. Benefits of exclusivity is Square know how far they can go with the console graphic wise and thats more time spent on story, characters, and battle system.

I for one liked FF XIII, far better that XII. A great Battle system, and good characters. The story needed a little more work, but that could have been from adding Xbox half way though. NO, if they deiced at the beginning weather it's a one console game or a muli-console game, and if Project Cafe is up to snuff with the other, than I think they can make a Final Fantasy game that fan and newbes will want to play.

As for if Project Cafe will have motion control, I'll have to say yes, but it just won't be a must. Like with the other consoles the motion control will be with game that it works with best and we'll have a standard controller for more hard core game. Plus I'm sure they'll make Cafe backwards compatible so you can play Wii game on them.

As FF12 was GOOD and FF13 was AWESOME I don't doubt they can make a great FF for me on any platform.

I wouldn't mind, just don't make it frikkin exclusive, I don't wanna buy the Cafe after how much Gamecube/Wii disappointed me.
