I would be happy for it to be on all 3 platforms, giving me a choice between which platform to play it on.

I will probably play the most superior version (between PS3 and Project Cafe) but I am more sceptical of Square Enix's ability to make a decent Final Fantasy experience any more.

Final Fantasy 12, 13, and 14, were NOT good games, Square Enix may be trying new things with new battle systems and terrible storylines and characters but sometimes change is bad.

So my answer is this, I would be happy with Final Fantasy on multiple platforms, not exclusive to a Nintendo platform. But judging by SE's track record, i won't be happy with the game.

If it became exclusive to a Nintendo console, no, I wouldn't be happy. I do not want to buy another console for one game. If it was multi-platform, I wouldn't care. It also depends on Nintendo's console performance. If it's crap, I rather have SE concentrate their work on better consoles. It all depends really...

First off, I don't care for having to pick up yet another console, and a Nintendo one at that (Wii was a waste of my money). However if they did, I'd say it depends on the quality of that game. FF has always been and never left Nintendo TBH, they have just been focusing on side titles for a while (namely Crystal Chronicles). This is a series I havn't given notice since I wasn't pleased with FFCC on GameCube. if this is the quality, then I'll be hard pressed to get both the console and the game. Unless there are other titles on the platform I want.

As for exclusivity, if it went to Nintendo, then personally I'd want it to stay there. I don't wish for FF to go cross platform, nor 3 consoles at that. The more consoles, the more effort needed, the more limitations placed as a whole, the more hassle for people to figure which would be best to get. It's just messy. I've yet to see a cross platform game that doesn't feel broken for some reason. Just pick a console and stay on it, maximize the gameplay for it's hardware. Optimize loading, optimize controls, optimize space, optimize performance, optimize visuals, optimize UI, etc. Just my opinion.

I guess it's all mute as the numbers justify their decision. Even though PS3 sold like 400,000 more copies in US, the nearly 1 million copy sales of Xbox in US was plenty to give them reason to do it again. It begs the question, how much is it hurting them versus benefiting them? Did the cross platform really make anyone not buy it who was planning to at release? Would it have made huge reviews if it was built entirely for PS3 (minus the cuts) and sold nearly a million more to make the Xbox move pointless?

I will say though, a bad game makes for quick used sales and trade-ins, which is bad for numbers. I will admit I seen a lot of used FF13 titles on Gamestop shelves.

Unless Nintendo has some special contract with Square Enix to do some cool partnership, I don't doubt this will be cross platform again. The hype will start with Nintendo though, almost making people believe it is exclusive, then pop in cross platform later.

If a numbered Final Fantasy title returned to Nintendo. I wouldn't mind it even if it returned exclusively. Just as long as it has a great story and character development and utilizes the power of Project Cafe. Lets face it.. Final Fantasy XIII was not a good enough title to be a final fantasy game as a whole...

Unless Square Enix steps up their game and start making compelling experiences again, it doesn't matter which platform the franchise goes to in my opinion. It isn't a matter of console preferences at this point, the problem lies at Square Enix.

I'd prefer it to be on 360 because that's what I play the most but a Nintendo console would be fine because I have a Wii(though that's a terrible console for FF to be on) and I'll get the new Nintendo console(hopefully it'll have graphics and engine power on par with 360/PS3 because only then would I feel comfortable with the next big FF to be on it).

I wouldn't like it if the main final fantasy was on all 3 platforms because Nintendo is known for family friendly and cartoon games. Nintendo should just stay with crystal chronicles. The main Final Fantasy should just stay on PS3 and maybe Xbox 360.

I just see Nintendo games as happy games and PS3/Xbox 360 as the more serious games for the mature audience.

I wouldn't care which console it was on, as long as it was good. I still think 360 owners are owed an apology for having to suffer FFXIII.
