But seriously, trophies are a wonderful goal setting mechanic to me and it enhances the gameplay and amount of time I'll put into a title. For a feature that is so minor, their excuse of "people might hack it" is fairly weak. By that argument, they shouldn't make games in general because people might hack them...

I can understand where you're coming from, but to me trophies are pointless unless they are directly integrated into the game's menu somewhere, like in Dead Space 2 or Uncharted 2. I hate going into the PS3's cross menu-bar when I'm in-game. But even then that'll only take me so far, they have to have some form of in-game reward like the Ratchet & Clank games, be it artwork, character skins, etc. Otherwise there's no incentive to get the trophy, that's how I see it. I could care less about people on my friends' list being able to see how many trophies I've collected, lol.

Unfortunately for your argument, trophies/achievements are not what makes money for developers. Whether they include such a feature or not, people will still buy the game. It's only, like you said, a "minor" feature that adds a bit more incentive for replay value. On the other hand, just because the remastered games aren't going to have PS3 trophy support doesn't mean they won't have their own in-game achievement list

Don't get me wrong... I would LOVE trophies.

I just disagree with the statement that the fact a game doesn't have them would STOP people from buying it. Because seriously... Good game is good, y'know?
