Ok, now that we have seen what they have to offer, do you think it was worth watching..? Tongue

Do you think Kinect has improved at all, or still the same as before?

Impressions? thoughts?

I thought that Microsoft attempted to appeal to the hardcore games again...But with trying to almost every game shown having Kinect support, it just turned me off. Kinect hasn't improved much in my eyes. Microsoft needs to stop relying on Kinect. Improve to Sony's level.

I think MS relied to much on Kinect. my two favorites from that conference had no use of Kinect. (Tomb Raider & Gears 3)

In short I would say that the conference was good at first and then about half way through the show it fell out of the sky, hit the ground and went 6 feet under.

The only real worthy integration of Kinect was with Mass Effect 3, that was pretty awesome. Tom Clancy's Gunsmith was cool too, but when it went into actual gameplay you could see that controlling it is no where near as precise as a controller, let alone a keyboard/mouse setup (unless the guy's aim was actually that terrible, lol). I've said it before but I'm really more interested in what Kinect can do in terms of user interfaces rather than games.

Tomb Raider looked really visceral too, I'm definitely excited for that! I'm also interested in seeing what direction the new developer for Halo takes.

If it wasn't for Tomb Raider, I would've been entirely disappointed with Microsoft.

Seriously, they need to stop trying to shove Kinnect down out throats with children's games. Last time I checked, E3 has never been attended by children, so why are they trying to target that audience there? It's ridiculous.

Seems a bit like Microsoft are just carrying on with their usual way of just doing whatever they like and not care about what people actually want. XD

But still. The first 30 minutes were good. But then that was about all they had... The rest was an advert for Kinnect.

All I enjoyed was Mass Effect 3 and Tomb Raider. Other than that, I was quite bored. I'm glad I was part of the GU Skype conversation, Keith made me laugh almost every time he posted.

"All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible. This I did." - T.E Lawrence
