I had a scary thought the other week. It almost seems as if Namco/Bandai acts as if Western releases are a liability. Recently they announced 2 releases which of course get me excited. However my first thought is "I hope they sell well so we can get more TalesOf releases!" Now, I can see ToGf getting some good sales, but how about ToA3DS?

So with (in my opinion) the 3DS not doing very well, the assumption is ToA3DS will do bad. So does anyone else feel the way I do that this will hurt our chances at future TalesOf releases?


I'd so love to support TalesOf localizations with some release date buys, but I can't justify buying a $250 console for a remake. But I sure as heck will snag ToGf day 1.

Considering that the translation is basically done they might not need as many sales as usual this time around.

Then again, I've learned it's near impossible to predict what's Namdai is thinking. xd

Great point. My thought wasn't really that if it would make money, but rather if they will see low numbers as things to expect with further releases. And yeah, can't really predict their mentality, was curious other people's thoughts though.

I'm a little nervous too. The 3DS hasn't been doing that well but I would think that the system would be the game's downfall and not TotA. From what it sounds like TotA is going to be one of the first RPGs released on the system (other than Ocarina of Time...but meh,) so I think that maybe since the system is so RPG scarce right now users will buy the game.


We can hope I guess. :/
