Sorry thefenrir, I didn't realize until now how direct that statement about opinion was. I'm aware it's your opinion. I'm just trying to convey a different perspective.

I agree with both of you on many of your points. Don't get me wrong. I've played every game you listed Colin, minus MassEffect. I love customization and limits. However each game has their own charm. It's my view that each game has their own flavor of customization. FF13 just chose to leave choices in weapons and items while they had building the character eventually become limitless.

Some people like that. Some people like being able to max their characters, some like being limited so they have to choose. Doesn't make it bad, just makes it what it is.

I agree with you Colin that it's similar to FF12. The end outcome is indeed maxing everything, but the road to it is filled with choice. More so with 12 than 13 granted. But I enjoyed making those choices until I had more points that I knew what to do with.

Great points though. And I'm curious to see how they may change it. Because I doubt it will remain equally the same.

I would hope it would be somewhat different in Type-0 at least, even though the system has the same name it would be rather boring to see the exact same thing that was in XIII...

I found the crystarium system really good and have no problems about if its the same but it would be nice if they tweaked the system a little
