It's probably true. Their 1st party games have been going on for decades, and they always seem to be different enough that people buy them.
But not one of them appeals to me anymore, not even in the slightest, especially on the Wii...
I don't even think the Wii U will get me excited for Nintendo games.
I just have a bitter taste in my mouth when I think of playing a "Nintendo ANYTHING" anymore.

Classics like Mario and the legend of zelda make the Nintendo console superior, that is a true statement. Manly because each generation they can port that character into a new games that fans like.

Sony Icons like ratchet and clank, Nathan drake, kratos, etc can not compete mainly because they haven't been around that long, while Nintendo consoles have been around for a longer time then Sony consoles.

In a decade or 2 this may or may not change who is to say.
