Come on Aqua! Squall's great and all, but Aqua is a better character in my opinion. Her development is much more believable than Squall's brooding, brooding, OMG RINOA'S UNCONSCIOUS I'M DIFFERENT NOW!! The only hint of change comes right when he saves Rinoa just before this. Where Aqua is an older sister figure, learning in some cases that she can't control everything who is willing to sacrifice herself to save her friends. And she gets to have the best FF character interaction scenes in the series (Zack).
