Featured Game: Ariel: The Little Mermaid (Sega Genesis / Mega Drive)

Everyone knows the story of the little mermaid who traded her voice and her ability to breath under water for the chance to French Prince Eric. It’s one of Disney’s most popular princess titles. However, even Ariel’s voice couldn’t save this game. Watch as Darryl and Lauren stomach through Ariel: The Little Mermaid.

Let's Play Again is much like the other Let's Play shows in that we play through games providing our own commentary. Unlike most Let's Play shows, our theme consists strictly of Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) Games. That's right folks, we're going A-Z (or more technically #-Z) through all of the Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) games and letting you know which ones you should break out again, and those that you should just leave on the shelf.

Why are the title screens animated in glaucomavision?

Until you mentioned she was shooting out notes as a weapon, I thought she was vomiting. That's how she stays so thin. Mermaid has some poor self-image issues, I guess.

In general it reminds me of Teenaged Ninja Mutant Turtles for the Nintendo.

And she extends her arm to do so. I lol at the thought of her extending her arm in a dramatic why as she belts out projectile music vomit at her enemies. I call it the bad seafood opera! *ba dum tsh*

Wow, that was awful (the game not the commentary). I agree with your point on the princess games, though I've never played one.

I'm surprised nobody has commented on how atrocious the music is.

Urg, what kind of person would make such terrible music like this!? I don't even think I could get through a minute of this game. I'd just rage quit because the music is really unsettling.
