I dont really think its only new-generation gamers that take graphics more into mind than gameplay. Ive been playing FF for a long time (maybe even more than some of you)And sometimes I'd rather have a so-so gameplay game with amazing graphics than a pretty good gameplay game with very bad graphics. But i think what some of the newer people think is that "Graphics represent Gamplay" I think the newer people believe this because they think graphics makes the "quality" of the game. This may only be me who thinks this way but I dont know, please take this into thought. Just to make sure you people dont understand what i said earlier in this comment, I do like FF6 and FF9 way more than FF13 (FF7... I didnt really like. I know im the only one.)

Im not sure if I worded my last sentence right but what i meant to say is that if you people think I'd rather have FFXIII than FFVI, your mistaken. Sorry Ive been studying alot of English, but sometimes I make mistakes. One bad thing about being japanese O_o hard to comunicate

i think so too i got a lot of FFs that are rated higher in my scale than XIII, but that depends from person to person. for me it has to be some kind of good mix up. if the graphic is to bad i cant play it either. so i would be fine with a 50/50 or even 75/25 when the 75 is gameplay, but nowadays i couldnt imagine a 100/0 game or something. i mean even we "old" ones, that got used to snes etc. got some kind of used to that good graphics, and i dont want to miss them anymore at all. but if a better and longer story would mean that the graphics have to suffer i would be ok with that, at least if they dont push it to far down.

It's probably because, perhaps, that's just about the only thing they can rate the game on without getting criticized for not knowing anything.

Graphics are important in the gaming world of today, but even the most beautiful graphics cant cancel out a bad plot! FF has always been design beautifully and has always brought epic plots that the gamer never forgets, only in the past 5 years the the plot has been lacking that juicy story fans never forget!!

We all know that the graphics for FFXIII-2 are going to be beautiful, but what I'm really curious about is the new gameplay moves and the actual story- because honestly, I always thought Sarah was a nuisance, even though she's the reason for the events of the original game..
