I always think of it this way.

Calculate total cost of unit plus any games you buy.
Next consider how much you would actually play it.
Divide the cost by the length of time.

Is that rate high or low? For example, if you have a job, do you get paid enough that you'd play an equal amount? If your rate goes down into pennies, then it's definitely worth it.

Haha, I do that a lot too. I calculate the hours of fun I get out of stuff and compare it per hour to the cost of a movie ticket or something. It always ends up worth it really quickly. People don't realize that alternative entertainment is just as expensive as games!

I wasn't aware there was going to be another version. At least that puts less time between the 3DS-2's release and that of KH 3D.

There is no new version confirmed yet, but most portable consoles get a slim version down the line sooner or later...
