hello all i'm new to the forums. In fact, due to my love for the tales series, i registered just to post in this thread. Doesn't mean it's gonna be one time only, i've hit this site SO many times while keeping track of graces' status on being brought to the US. I'm still tracking hoping for an official release date, as well as potential news on Xillia being brought to the US.
Anyhow, my first tales experience, and My favorite overall, was Tales of Destiny 2(Eternia). I will go as far as mentioning my most memorable moment in the game. -spoiler-- The moment the party reaches Celestia and the opening chat scene ends. You step out of the little resting area out onto the field map. THE MUSIC. It felt so depressing and lonely, i could literally feel how much more cold, more dark, more windy this new world was (which was contradictory to the fact the wind craymel resides in Inferia). --spoiler- Since then I had fallen in love with the tales series and was on the verge of ripping namco a new one thinking graces wouldn't reach our shores. i've played tales of symphonia, abyss, symphonia 2, Vesperia, a little legendia, and Tales of the world: Radiant Mythology. I finally captured my hands on the translation for phantasia and have been looking on ebay to buy the game and extract the iso for an emulator. I'll get to it. Tales of innocence R had better reach our shores as well.
I have yet to be disappointed with the series, but none has yet to recreate how i felt at that one moment in Tales of Eternia. I've played through it 5 or 6 different times, and if i hadn't lost my first disc i would still play it today.
Off topic. Why doesn't anyone like Symphonia 2? The story wasn't as vivid as most, and the lack of the world map wasn't worth the deadline. But the introduction of monster capturing was, IMO, well over making up for the downsides.
Anyhow, Nice to meet everyone
