This is a dumb move on Nintendo's part, considering the fact that the Nintendo Wii U comes out next year. I dont see many people buying this London Olympics 2012 Wii.

obviously you don't understand the power of being able to buy consoles at the end of and long after their generation. Just look at how long a life the PS2 had (and is still selling from my understanding). If you want a dumb move, look at the end of last generation when Nintendo decided to halt the production of Gamecubes after the Wii was released.

Not quite sure why they figure blue means the Olympics... Unless they were going for Sonic blue. In which case they failed miserably. XD

And I'm agreeing with Zero... Buying consoles at the end of their lifespan means TONNES of already established and UBER CHEAP games are already available to you. No wondering whether the newest game is worth getting, because there aren't really any new games. Everything has already been professionally reviewed AND had the consumer feedback. For those gaming on a shoestring budget, buying an old console is a perfect solution.

After all, there are loads of people still clutching at their fat PS3s simply because of the PS2 game compatibility.
