Before voice acting entered the Final Fantasy Series in FFX, how did you pronounce some names? I actually entered the FF series with Crisis Core but then when straight to the first 4 games. Some names like Leviathan I called La-vith-ee-en and Bahamut I called Bear-ha-mut not Ba-ha-moot/mit. I know people call Seifer See-fer while I call him his name from Kingdom Hearts II because I played it first.

2 issues here,
First: this is a Final Fantasy related thread, it needs to go into the Final Fantasy section (the mods can move it, but in the future, try to remember that, as doing so makes less work for them)

Second: This is a duplicate thread. For future reference, please try a search, like for example: this one that I did to find that thread. the search bars for the forums can be found at the bottom of the listings for each page on each section

now that that is cleared, I feel I must warn you that this is a dangerous thread and always seems to lead to a heated argument over the pronunciation of Tidus' name... Yea, that still happens even with KH, Dissida, and Dissidia Duodecim LOL

Sorry about the duplicate thread, I didn't know about it, sorry. Also I'm new and was not sure where to put it. So anything FF related I'm now going to put in the FF Union Section. Again sorry. I learn from my mistakes.

Just before I close this thread, I have to say that anyone that pronounces Seifer as "see-fer" is wrong. That one is non-negotiable. One always takes the last letter of the "ei" and capitalises it to make the sound. So if it were spelled "Siefer", then that would be pronounced "see-fer". Tongue
