Microsoft really have no other option but blu-ray, and then Sony gets a bunch of royalties because of that.

Meaning the next generation will really be a battle of Sony vs Nintendo. Unless Microsoft invents a new type of storage medium for games -_-.

Microsoft could do what Nintendo does and just use optical discs for their games and forget blu-rey all together.

I feel this year was really solid. It had good games from start to finish.... and they saved the best games for last. (Uncharted, Skyrim, Batman, Etc)

But yeah it seems that 2011 has been a rather balanced year for gaming (more leaning towards great rather than okay) with a batch of titles that undying fangirls/boys just couldn't WAIT to get their hands on, PLUS the reveal of some niffty new consoles (PSV and Wii-U) and as always there has been some slight problems (PSN blackout) but it's all most likely history by now.

As for the PS4's possible future arrival...I agree that they should at least give the PS3 another 2 or 3 years before bringing a successor into the field but I'm sure that the end of the world theories are total BS anyway so I'm not gonna be impatient when it comes to the next generation...(if there is one)

Great show as always and I hope you guys have a great year in 2012...it will TRULY be a year worth celebrating

2011 was an ok year for gaming as a whole. We just need to focus on 2012 now ad see what comes next
