The Nintentod 3DS has been out for nine months - any word for a FF game for the 3DS?

I am not that impressed by the 3D effects on a 3DS though,

There is only one that I know about, and that's Theaterhythm. Now, I did a search on Gamefaqs to see what they had, and there was 2 entries. 1 being Theaterhythm, and the other being labeled simply as Final Fantasy (working title).

I heard SE said they were considering remaking V and VI for 3DS similar to the III and IV remakes for DS. I hope those come to fruition.

I forgot the Theaterhythm - obviously aimed at the non-hardcore gamer or people who want to have a short session on "the run" so to speak. Broadening the market!

Yeah! I'd really like to see FFV on 3DS. That would be reason enough for me to finally revisit it and finish it!

I would like to see FFV and VI on the 3DS but I had found FFIV: Complete Collection a few days ago and after a few hours I have seen that it puts the DS remake of IV to shame. I would like to see Vita versions as FFI, II and IV on the PSP look amazing!

As stated above, the only FF title they have officially announced for 3DS is Theatrhythm. But it's only a beat game with RPG elements (open worlds/towns/battles).

The FF "working title" I believe is the now named Bravely Default: Flying Fairy. Similar looking to a FF RPG, but just with some offshoot name.

Now I hate region locking. But I can see that this hinders piracy - a big problem for the PSP and GBA and significantly less for the 3DS.
