[SPOILERS] Final Fantasy XIII-2's ending

I saw the ending on a stream. WOW.

Does anyone know if the FMV part is canon? Is it just the in-engine stuff before it that changes depending on how you played?

I don't know how to use spoiler tags here, so I won't say what actually happens.

I thought that FFXIII-2 had multiple endings? o.0

Thank you for moving my post! I checked for a Spoilers forum but apparently didn't look hard enough. Smile

I think the multiple endings come before this FMV part that everyone is freaking out about. I could be completely wrong, but on Tumblr and all that I've only heard about one ending.

Well Chloe, the ending that Chocolina is talking about is apparently the ultimate, overarching final ending (true ending) that you get if you beat the game. There are other endings but they're dubbed "paradox" endings in the sense that they aren't supposed to happen (such as not shutting atlas down with the machine then going to a different time, grinding, then coming back to beat him at 100% strength). These aren't the true endings so they don't mean much to the story but to get the trophy for endings, you need to get them all.

And another thing is that I'm sure a lot of FF fans would be disappointed in this or shocked about this ending... which is why SE teased ANOTHER sequel with "To be Continued" or perhaps DLC which adds to the story

Sigh... Finally decided to beat it and honestly I feel like I solved nothing. Endings are supposed to be a conclusion. Worst ending ever.

Guess this is a huge excuse for 13-3... I doubt it will be DLC as they already stated they are against that.
