1000 Preorders Needed for UMD Badman Release

Earlier this year, NIS America's cult title Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman, What Did I Do to Deserve This? was released exclusively on PlayStation Network to bypass the overhead costs that would be incurred with a widespread UMD release.

However, due to the overwhelming demand from their fans, it appears the company is planning on doing a limited release of a UMD version of the game, as long as at least 1,000 people preorder the game via the company's RosenQueen division by November 13th, 2009, says NIS America:

If we get 1,000 orders, we will then begin production of these UMDs. We will be able to start shipping out to you by the mid December if 1,000 units of preorder is received. We apologize for any inconveniences that this may cause you. Please note, that we will stop taking orders on November 13th.

Due to conflicts statements in an e-mail sent out to NIS American fans, which said 1,000 was absolutely needed, it is currently unknown if they will still ship out the UMD copies if preorders don't meet the 1,000 sell-through target.
