Atlus has just released another new batch of 3D Dot Game Heroes screenshots, but this time they feature some of the various swords that can be collected in the game. The game was announced last November after Sony has teased that a mystery publisher would be picking up the game, shortly after the game's release in Japan.
3D Dot Game Heroes is a throwback to the old-school games of yore, taking aspects from games like the 2D The Legend of Zelda games, but adding it's own unique mix of abilities and using a unique physics engine that mixes 2D and 3D visuals together. Your character, which is customized by the player, can equip a number of different swords, each of which have their own unique properties and looks, ranging from big swords to even fish.
3D Dot Game Heroes is set to be released on May 11, 2010 at a budget price of $39.99 in North America. European gamers won't miss out on the game, however, since publisher South Peak is working with Atlus to get the game released in that territory as close to the North American release as possible.
