Monster Hunter fans rejoice, because Capcom has just announced that they are working on the next PSP Monster Hunter, and it will be coming to Japan, North America, and Europe later this year.
Monster Hunter has become a smashing success in Japan, where over 40 million copies total in the franchise have been shipped, including the North American and European versions of the games. While not quite as popular in North America and Europe, the franchise has done reasonably well, with the latest console entry, Monster Hunter 3, coming to both regions this Spring.
The title will be called Monster Hunter 3 Portable in Japan, and the localized version will be called Monster Hunter Freedom 3. The game will include new regions, monsters, and an refined Felyne combat system. No specific date was given for the game's release, with only the international versions being pegged for a "late 2010" release.
