Who said God of War 2 was the last hurrah of the PlayStation 2? Certainly not NIS America, as the publisher is happy to today announce that strategy RPG Sakura Wars: So Long My Love has hit retailers for both the PlayStation 2 and Wii.
Surprisingly, the PlayStation 2 version of the game has a few goodies the Wii version misses out on. The PS2 version has both English and Japanese voice tracks, and includes an art book, poster, and collector's game cover. The Wii is however "offered at an attractive price point," says NIS America.
The game employees a sim-based story system, with "an in-depth storyline [...] much like in any other RPG; however, the player's destiny in the game is not predetermined." If you haven't had your fill of mech-warfare lately, or your PlayStation 2 or Wii for that matter, Sakura Wars could be your dish.
