After selling over a million copies last Fall, developer 5th Cell has announced that Scribblenauts will be receiving a sequel. The news was revealed in the latest issue of Nintendo Power, which features the game as the prime feature for their April 2010 issue.
The original Scribblenauts gave players an objective to complete, which could be achieved using whatever they could come up in the game's expansive dictionary. For example, if one needed to get an item from a tree, they could chop it down, use a ladder, or use a helicopter to grab it.
According to the developers, Scribblenauts 2 will add over 10,000 new words, this time having adjectives play a bigger roll in what you can create. 120 new levels and a level editor will be included alongside a new hint system and improved controls, which was one the parts of the original game which many felt was clumsy and hard to control. Scribblenauts 2 is set to be released this Fall on the Nintendo DS.
