Square Enix have announced, via a short video on Twitter by Yoichi Wada, that Final Fantasy IX will be coming to the PlayStation Store in the near future.
There had been quite a lot of speculation about the release recently, after Square Enix Vice-President Shinji Hashimoto announced they would be discussing the topic at their next board meeting.
No pricing or release date has been announced, and currently it's only scheduled in for a Japanese release - something that will surely change. Here's hoping Square Enix doesn't stagger the releases too much though, like it has with Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII.
