The first details of Ubisoft's rebooted Ghost Recon franchise are out, revealing 4 four playable classes including the heavily-armed Commandos, Engineers, Recon and Sniper classes. Each class has their own unique set of skills. For instance, Engineers fight alongside the support drones and Recon troops are equipped with the invisibility cloaks.
The game is also said to feature takedowns à la the Krav Maga technique, an Israeli form of hand-to-hand combat. Also, no matter what class, players will be outfitted with the latest exoskeleton outfits as seen in the live action trailer.
There will also be a co-op mode available for the campaign, allowing players to drop in and out of games. In addition, the multiplayer mode sports 8-on-8 competitive game types. A neat and interesting feature is that a class' special ability will affect allies within close range, putting more of an emphasis on teamwork.
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be out some time this year for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, DS and PSP.
