Metal Gear Solid Meets Monster Hunter

Could this be the big announcement earlier mentioned this week? It's quite hard to ignore seeing as it's the cover of this week's Famitsu magazine.

This week's issue discloses some dirty little collaboration crossover details between Konami and Capcom. Big Boss' latest adventure will have him team up with Felyne, the endearing sidekick of Capcom's Monster Hunter franchise. That's not all either as players will be able to hook up with each other to cooperatively take on some pretty big monsters like the annoyingly agile Tigrex.

Kojima also reveals in an interview that the Monster Hunter staff had no idea what the collaboration was about and the Kojima Production team had recreated much of the Monster Hunter creatures by eyeballing them.

This isn't the first time the Metal Gear series has crossed over with another franchise with Snake Eater teaming up with Ape Escape and Metal Gear Solid 4 with Assassin's Creed.
