This month's NPD figures have been released and they certainly make for some interesting reading. Many people have been curious for a while now about how Final Fantasy XIII will sell, as Square Enix's primary reason for releasing it on the Xbox 360 was its larger install base.
However, despite this, the PS3 version of the game managed to sell 828,000 copies throughout March. The Xbox 360 version only managed to sell 493,000 - which to be fair is still quite a significant number.
Square Enix can be justified for their decision though, as Final Fantasy XIII saw the franchises biggest ever launch in North America, with sales apparently beating Final Fantasy XII's first-month figures by 48%.
