While Nintendo has recently released black-painted versions of the Wii Remote, Nunchuk and Classic Controller Pro, North American owners are still stuck with the default white Wii. According to various sources at the major retail stores, it appears that might not be the case for long.

According to Kotaku, tipsters from Target, GameStop and Future Shop, as well as a shopper and FYE, are all saying a new bundle is bound for North America in May, which will include a black Wii Remote and Nunchuk, as well as a copy of Wii Sports Resort and a Wii MotionPlus add-on, all for $199.99, the current price of the console.

The bundle first appeared over in Japan last summer. According to the tipsters, the bundle will come to North America on May 9, followed by a release in Canada on May 23. When Kotaku contacted Nintendo for comment and clarification, they replied with the expected "we don't comment on rumors and speculation".
