Earlier this week, Square-Enix's Shinji Hashimoto teased the world by tweeting about a "small surprise" they had in store this week. Well, as though the rampant product placements weren't enough, Konami has teamed up with Square-Enix to produce a line of Play Arts specifically for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The first figure in the pipeline, Big Boss, obviously.
The figures will be dubbed as Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Play Arts Kai and the first to hit stores will be of "Snake Sneaking Suits Version", set to arrive this coming June. Following that are figures of the three mechanical beasts seen in the trailers, one of which looks a lot like a beefed up Shagohod, as well as Snake in army fatigues late in the year.
Apparently the idea for this collaboration came up during one of Kojima and Hashimoto's usual lunch meetups, explained the duo when they took the stage and made the surprising announcement.
