With the PlayStation 3 supporting 3D tech on its console, and Nintendo bringing 3D to the handheld market, it only seemed like a matter of time before Microsoft jumped on the bandwagon. According to a recent press release from LG electronics, there will be a joint marketing campaign between Microsoft and LG to release 3D games on the Xbox 360 that are compatible with LG's new lineup of 3D ready LED TVs.
Unfortunately, this campaign is only being launched in South Korea and eventually moving into the Asia Pacific region, leaving the rest of the world in a haze as to how this 3D tech will be implemented in the Western world.
Whether or not this 3D enabled 360 will remain exclusively through LG TV is unknown, but we can all probably expect some sort of announcement coming from Microsoft on 3D sometime in the near future. After all, it's highly doubtful they would limit this technology to one region.
